Masters and Doctoral Level Studies
The Australian Government, through AusAID, invites applications from exceptionally qualified and motivated Sri Lankan and Maldivian citizens to study at Masters and Doctoral levels in Australia in 2010. The ALA Scholarships Program targets current and future leaders from universities, business, media, industry, government and civil society, who have leadership qualities to provide a vision, and influence and achieve change in their chosen fields. They should be capable of leading reform, development and governance in developing countries in the Asia Pacific region.
Study programs must relate to priority areas of disability, economic growth, education, environment, food security, gender, governance, health, human rights, infrastructure, regional stability, rural development and water & sanitation.
Potential candidates who have an unconditional offer from an Australian University, strong leadership qualities, high level undergraduate or graduate achievement and high proficiency in English are encouraged to apply for these prestigious scholarships.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria
- High potential to assume leadership roles
- Public and Private sector employees may apply
- Excellent undergraduate/graduate academic record
- Unconditional offer for Masters or PhD level study
- 6.5 in IELTS (with no band less than 6.0)
