Sri Lankan Sports Journalist Joins Sports Diplomacy International Media Visit to Australia

 

Mr Daminda Wijesuriya, Sri Lankan newspaper Lankadeepa’s Sports Editor, is one of eight international journalists participating in a Sports Diplomacy International Media Visit to Australia from 20-26 October 2014. The program provides the journalists with comprehensive exposure to Australia’s preparations for the upcoming Cricket World Cup, Commonwealth Games and the Netball World Cup. During the visit, the journalists are meeting relevant officials handling these major sporting events, and learning about Australia’s investment in sports and Australia’s solid foundation as a sporting nation.
