Australia funds transition initiative for sustainable return and reintegration of internally displaced persons in Sri Lanka
‘Transition Initiative for Sustainable Return and Reintegration of IDPs in Sri Lanka’ is a community development program funded by the Australian Government. It aims to increase access to state-provided services and livelihood opportunities, thereby enhancing the social and economic status of recently returned internally displaced communities as well as landslide affected vulnerable communities in the Northern and Central Provinces.
The AUD4.05 million (approx. LKR.550 million) program is implemented by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).
